As a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center and Obstetrical/Gynecological clinic, Sound Care Medical and Imaging Center serves the greater Ottawa and Ottawa Valley areas. We are a licensed Diagnostic Facility legislated by the Ministry of Health of Ontario since 1986, accredited as an Independent Health Facility and renewed license in 2013. Sound Care Medical and Imaging Center offers a variety of imaging and medical services to help you and your doctor, midwife, nurse practitioner and/or chiropractor make the best medical decisions regarding your health.
Our specially trained clerical, technical and medical personnel are members of respective governing bodies such as CARDUP and ARDMS. We are a well equipped facility with the latest Ultrasound Imaging Systems and Computerized Image Acquiring Systems Network, enabling remote and on-site reading and interpretation of your imagining studies. These will be provided to your referring physician or medical professional in a timely manner.

All requisitions are accepted, including those from other medical facilities and hospitals.

At Sound Care Medical and Imaging center, we do not require a referral for new Obstetrical patients, you are able to self-refer. We do, however, require referrals for all new Gynecological patients. Please have your doctor fax your referral to our office. Once your referral has been accepted, our office will contact you with an appointment date and time. When you arrive for your appointment, you will need to register with the receptionist. Please have your health card ready at every visit. You will be required to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment for registration. We require 24hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling to avoid the corporate $50 no show fee for missed appointments.
You are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time for registration. Please have your requisition and health card ready for every visit. You may be required to follow specific preparations for different types of ultrasound scans. Please call the clinic for details. Non-OHIP, DND, IFH patients may pay for their visits by debit, cash and Visa (Cheques, Mastercard and AMEX not accepted). Quebec (RAMQ) patients are accepted for Specialist visits, at no additional charge, but payment is required for ultrasound appointments.
At Sound Care Medical and Imaging center we offer automated voice messages, SMS text or email reminders in regards to our patients upcoming medical or ultrasound appointments. Patients can inform our staff either at the time of booking their appointment or when registering, which communication method they would prefer.
