Ottawa's premier ultrasound centre, we are a licensed diagnostic facility, as legislated by the Ministry of Health of Ontario since 1986. We are recommended by local hospitals, physicians and midwives, so you can trust us to address your health needs.

Our facility is well-equipped with the latest ultrasound imaging systems and a computerized image acquiring systems network. This enables remote and on-site reading and interpretation of your imaging studies. We can also guarantee that reports will be provided to your referring physician or medical professional in a timely manner.

Ultrasound Preparations

If you are wondering how you can prepare for your ultrasound, please read the exam preparations carefully.

Additionally, you will need to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to register at the reception.

Refrain from wearing perfume or scented lotion.

(Fasting Appointment): Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum after midnight or six hours prior to the exam.

Refrain from smoking, wearing perfume or scented lotion.

One hour prior to your exam, you need to empty your bladder then drink 32 ounces or 1 litre of water. A full bladder is required to have this exam. Refrain from wearing cologne or scented lotion.

This examination involves a saline solution in the uterine cavity. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your exam. Take Advil or Tylenol, 30 minutes before your appointment. After check-in at reception, empty your bladder. Refrain from smoking, wearing perfume or scented lotion.

Gender Reveal

For expecting mothers, finding out your child’s gender can be a memorable experience. If you are more than 20 weeks pregnant and wish to book for the morphology ultrasound appointment our sonographers are dedicated to providing you with an educated gender guess.

A medical requisition form signed by your physician is required to book your morphology appointment. Gender reveal cannot be book on its own it must be booked for a medical reason.

How do I prepare for my first IUD appointment?
 
Eat a meal and light snack beforehand so you don't get dizzy. Also drink some water. We also suggest taking a pain reliever, like ibuprofen (Advil)  or acetaminophen (Tylenol) , 30 minutes before your appointment.
If you do not have your IUD prescription, please provide us with your preferred pharmacy address so we can fax the Rx.
